West Ham have signed Australia midfielder Katrina Gorry from Swedish side Vittsjo GIK.
The 31-year-old midfielder has won 105 caps for her country and joins the London club after leaving Vittsjo in November 2023
Meanwhile, Leicester City have strengthened their attack with the signing of Japan international Yuka Momiki from Linkoping FC.
And Bristol City have signed goalkeeper Shae Yanez from San Diego Wave.
Gorry becomes West Ham’s third January signing following the arrivals of United States midfielder Kristie Mewis and experienced Canadian defender Shelina Zadorsky.
“The club spoke my language,” said Gorry. “West Ham is a family club and that was a big factor for me wanting to join. I’ve felt the support from everyone straight away and there is no better place for me to be right now.
“The Women’s Super League is the league everyone is speaking about at the moment. I want to challenge myself and play against, and with, the best players in the world.
“I will work hard, try to control the game and do whatever I can to help the team both on and off the pitch. I am very proud and grateful to be here and really excited by what’s ahead.”
Momiki, 27, has signed an 18-month deal in the East Midlands after spending three years with Linkoping in the Swedish top flight.
“The manager has passion and a vision for this project and that’s why I came here,” she said. “The club has specific goals and plans, and everyone is following that philosophy.”
Bristol City’s new signing Yanez has previously played in England when she kept 24 clean sheets in 72 appearances during three seasons with Championship side London City Lionesses.
The 26-year-old then returned to her native United States with National Women’s Soccer League side San Diego Wave.
“I made the choice to go back to America but fortunately I’ve been given the opportunity to come to the Super League and fulfil that dream of mine,” said Yanez.
